One of the country’s most successful visual artists, Insiya’s work has been published in esteemed publications such as The Telegraph, The Sunday Times Magazine, Glamour Magazine, Le Monde, Communication Arts Magazine, and The Washington Post. Her accolades include photos in the 2011 best pictures of the year special edition of TIME LightBox.
The last campaign she worked on – “Not A Bug Splat” – won a Bronze Lion at the 2014 Cannes Festival of Creativity, a first for the country.
Earlier, in 2013, her work “Unabridged, and unpublished” was published in a book – Kam Sukhan – a collective with eight other female photographers by Markings.
Insiya continues to observe the visual medium in her documentary photography as well as her daily life portraits, in order to explore the discipline she has gained by attending several international photojournalism workshops.
She currently works as a freelance photojournalist for Thomson Reuters.
